Vale-Smith defines his musical style as an 'introverted playground', crafting tangled and busy dance music that, as far as Vale-Smith is concerned, is the purest escapism there is. 

Inspired by the bouncy rhythms & bright melodies of the Future Bass/IDM/Techno/House music that shaped him, he learned how to make beats on Garageband at 17 years old.

This journey lead to projects that would inch closer to bringing forward the energetic spark that Vale had in his mind from the start. With each record, he's exploring sound design in a new way. Whether it's through harsh vocal chops or with more introspective and warm sounds, Vale is always confidently expressing the production chops he's gained since he started, making complex and dazzling beats occasionally leaning towards IDM.

"Misremembering I" was a mixtape of b-sides, "Misremembering II" is a mixtape of beats. Some b-sides, some stuff I made for other artists, some stuff I made just to cure boredom.

A lot of folks tell me they listen to my albums when studying/working on a project, so with this tape I tried to turn my loosies into my version of a 'beats to study to' album. Feels good to purge my messy hard drive, too. Most of this mixtape would've remained a 16-bar loop project file clogging up space on my laptop for the rest of time had I not made this.
